Kruger Big Assist program is back for its fourth season and this year your hockey association could receive up to $100,000!

This season, the Kruger Big Assist will be awarding five minor hockey associations each with a $25,000 grant (one per geographic region) and one of the five regional winners will have the opportunity to receive an additional $75,000 Grand Prize. This means your association could receive up to $100,000 to help hockey families in need.

The $75,000 Grand Prize is a donation dedicated to helping your hockey association remove barriers to give more kids access to hockey (separate application required).  For the first time, the Canadian public will help determine the grand prize winner by voting for one of the five regional winners online in April.

With the 2024 investment, the Kruger Big Assist has committed over $800,000 to over 45 hockey associations across Canada. Previous Big Assist recipient, Flin Flon Minor Hockey, were able to provide free registration to new players as well as full equipment for new and returning players in the community. Additionally, their association have been able to extend their reach and provide development ice slots for all players, including specific slots for females and players with a self-declared disability.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

It only requires a few minutes to submit a brief written description, or video as your nomination. Association executives, volunteers, coaches and parents are all encouraged to nominate and nominations will be accepted until February 11, 2024, with winners announced in March 2024.
