On August 1, 2023, SWCC announced that they have received $850,000 to provide upgrades to the arena for 2023-2024.  Some of the renovations have started to take place and the remaining renovations will be completed in the summer of 2024.  The upgrade will include:

- New Flooring in front lobby

- Repaint front lobby

- New flooring in boardroom and one office

- New washrooms in front lobby

- New energy efficient lighting throughout arena

- Renovation of washrooms in change rooms

- ODR new energy efficient lighting

- New flooring around rink

- New flooring in players boxes

- New electric Zamboni

- Repaint inside arena and change room area

- New exterior doors in rink

- Repair of all remaining exterior doors

- Dehumidifier

- New steel headers

-Upgrade of cooling unit

- Arena roof repair
